Agreed! Diversification is the best way to mitigate dividend cuts when they happen. The has been one of my major goals over the past 2 years. Like you said: buy, hold, and diversify! Thanks for stopping by! :)

If you go the DGI route a dividend cut is a necessity. We all experience those cuts from time to time. Nothing you can do about it. I know some will say you can time the cuts and sell before they occur etc. but that's bs. Just buy and hold and diversify to mitigate those cuts when they happen.

In reply to <a href="https://www.mydividenddynasty.com/some-mid-may-thoughts/#comment-2025">Dividend Diplomats</a>.

Yeah, I hoping the worse is over and we can start to see growth again in the second half of the year. All we can do is stay safe and hope for the best! Thanks for stopping by Bert! :)

The dividend cuts aren't fun MDD. That's for sure. WE all have had them and the impact of the virus and the shutdowns are starting to grow. It'll be interesting to see how this translates to Q2 index fund and ETF payouts.

Glad the bathroom repairs were quick!

Hi ED! Yeah, the repairs were quick. The super got the plumbers up here later that day and the pipe was fixed. I was able to use my bathroom even though there were two holes in the ceiling. The super fixed the ceiling over 2 days the next week. So, luckily, all is good now. These dividend cuts suck, but I believe all will be fine in the long-term. Let's keep up the investments! :)
