Recent Buys – JNJ, MDT, INTC, and JPM

After 3 months of building up my savings and dividend income, it is time to post my recent buys – JNJ, MDT, INTC, and JPM!

The market has dropped quite a bit the previous month. All of us have taken a hit in one way to another.

Nevertheless, I believe market drops are opportunities.

Plenty of stocks are now trading at a steep discount and dividend yields have risen quite a bit.

The less it costs, the more you can buy. In the case of dividend growth investing, that means more dividend income as you buy more shares and lock in higher yields.

Therefore, in a large way, a bear market can speed up the process toward financial freedom provided you keep investing through it and buy more quality stocks at a discount.

Recent Buys

And now, without further ado, here are my recent stock purchases.

One purchase (JPM) was a new stock added to my portfolio. The other three buys (JNJ, MDT, and INTC) were adding on shares to stocks I already owned.

I’ll start with the new stock. I purchased 28 shares of JPM, which added $112.00 in forward dividend income to my portfolio.

Next, I purchased 12 shares of JNJ, which added $54.24 in forward dividends. Thus, I now own a total of 28 shares of JNJ.

Following that, I purchased 12 shares of MDT, which added $32.64 in forward dividend income. Therefore, I now own a total of 34 shares of MDT.

Finally, I could not resist INTC at a 5.6% yield. I bought 37 shares of INTC, which added $54.02 in dividend income going forward. So, I now own a total of 117 shares of INTC.

All in all, dividends added from these recent stock purchases totaled: $252.90

Conclusion

Thus concludes my recent buys – JNJ, MDT, INTC, and JPM!

These will likely be my last buys until 2023 (2-3 months from now). I am now in “reload” mode; accumulating savings and dividends for future purchases.

My portfolio is now set to generate $13,291 in dividend income over the next 12 months.

This is cool because with these recent buys I am now earning over $1,100 in dividends per month. That is passive income coming in while I sleep!

I will continue to work towards my goals and build my dividend dynasty!
