2025 Review – Dividends and Portfolio

With a new year upon us, it is time post my 2025 review and look at the real numbers for my dividends and my portfolio.

How did I do this past year?

For one, I hit my annual dividend goal of surpassing $17,000 in forward dividend income!

That was a great achievement! And I already set my new goals for 2026.

But let us get back to 2025!

I will start with the numbers and the numbers don’t lie.

Financial Review of 2025 – Dividends and Portfolio

The numbers don’t lie!

I collected a record $16,347.06 in dividend income for 2025!

That is the most dividends I ever received for any year.

Next, let’s look at my projected annual dividend income (PADI) from start to finish over the past year.

  • PADI on January 1, 2025: $15,620
  • PADI on January 1, 2026: $17,074

That is an 9.3% increase on PADI since the first day of 2025. That amounts to $1,454 in dividends added over the year.

As for dividend raises and cuts, it was a pretty good year. Only one dividend suspension from a stock I no longer own (WBA).

The dividend raises themselves were good for the year.

  • 2024 dividend raises: $418.74
  • 2025 dividends cuts: $85.00

Dividend raises this year were great! I was well in the green this year.

When you combined the raises minus the cuts, I was in the green at positive $333.74 in organic growth.

As for my overall portfolio value for 2025:

  • I started the year with a portfolio value of $380,810.89
  • I ended the year with a portfolio value of $444,670.19

This means my portfolio grew in value by 16.8% in 2025!

Conclusion

Thus, we conclude my 2025 Review – Dividends and Portfolio

I am hoping the year 2026 will bring even greater prosperity!

As stated above, I set new goals for 2026 for projected dividend income.

My main goal is to surpass $19,000 in 2026 which would be my ultimate crowning achievement.

I don’t know what the new year has in store, but only time will tell if I will accomplish this.
