December 2021 Dividend Income

It is officially the start of a new year and it’s time to post my December 2021 dividend income! Happy New Year everyone! I stumbled across the finish line this year… Twice I ended up in the hospital briefly for non-covid related health problems that suddenly emerged. I still don’t know what caused these problems, but I was awfully sick for over a week (and am still not over the side-effects). Finally, I returned to work to find out we are going back to partially remote due to pretty much everyone in the office getting Covid-19. Yeah, the last two weeks of December 2021, were a major flop.

On the other hand, I do have to celebrate the brighter side as well. This December Santa Claus delivered his Christmas presents in the form of record-breaking dividend income! I have closed the year with the most dividends I have every received. Granted, I would have preferred a cut to my dividends over a cut to my health any day… but perhaps what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger? Here’s to recovery! I am hoping for the best of both worlds (health and finance).

And now, without further ado, for December 2021, I received $1,527.88 in dividend income from twenty-eight (28) companies!

  • PFE – $67.08
  • SO – $133.98
  • IBM – $158.25
  • TGT – $63.00
  • VFC – $33.50
  • MCD – $98.48
  • O – $46.25

  • JNJ – $16.96
  • WFC – $19.80
  • LYB – $45.20
  • D – $34.65
  • SJM – $27.72
  • MMM – $37.00
  • CVX – $22.78
  • DUK – $33.49
  • UPS – $20.40
  • KEY – $43.29
  • EMR – $17.00
  • AFL – $18.15
  • KTB – $4.14
  • WBA – $40.59
  • INTC – $13.90

  • LMT – $25.20

December 2021 Dividend Income Total: $1,527.88

Wow, do you guys see that?! I broke the $1500 mark for the first time in monthly dividend income! That is a new record! This year shows a 14.5% year over year increase from last December 2020. I will gladly take a double-digit end to the year. We didn’t get a Christmas bonus this year, however, dividend income could easily fill the gap. These dividends really brightened up my month. In addition, I received my first every dividend payment from AMGN and LMT this December. And now, on to the dividend increases!

      • EMN increased dividend to $0.76 per share, resulting in a $12.04 increase.
      • AMGN increased dividend to $1.94 per share, resulting in a $6.48 increase.
      • PFE increased dividend to $0.40 per share, resulting in a $6.88 increase.
      • O increased dividend to $0.2465 per share, resulting in a $1.12 increase.

All in all, dividend increases totaled $26.52.

Thus, concludes my December 2021 dividend income. And with that, the year 2021 is over. Later this month, I will post my 2021 goal results along with reviewing the dividend numbers for the past year. In addition, I also set new financial goals for the year 2022 earlier this month. I am also all ready to make some new stock purchases. In other words, January should be an exciting financial start to the new year! All that is left is to hope for good health.

As of this post, my portfolio is set to generate $12,126 in dividend income over the next 12 months. Dividend growth investing works. Even the smallest amount of money can compound and grow enormously over time. Stick to your investment strategy and march towards your freedom! With the right mindset, financial independence is possible for anyone to achieve. I will continue to build my dividend dynasty, you can too!

So, how was your month? Did you break any records? How were your dividend increases? Also, did you have a nice Holiday season? Let me know in the comments below!
