July 2022 Dividend Income Plus the $13K Mark

Alright, time to post my July 2022 dividend income plus celebrate that I just crossed the $13K mark in forward dividend income!

It kind of sucks that just about half the summer is over already… but also what sucks is going shopping for supplies and seeing all the empty shelves.

It has been like this for weeks.

Talk about production and supply chain issues. Even during the worst of the pandemic, the shelves weren’t this empty.

Worse off, we saw (and felt) that inflation had risen 9.1% in June.

Is this a sign of the looming recession to come? Maybe. None of this is good.

July 2022 Dividend Income

But let’s talk about brighter things.

July was a pretty good month for dividend income and dividend raises.

However, the biggest new of the month was that I crossed the $13,000 mark in forward yearly dividend income! Another nice milestone achieved!

But without further ado, for July 2022, I received $835.83 in dividend income from fourteen (14) companies!

  • MPW – $261.00
  • STWD – $171.36
  • O – $46.53
  • GSK – $40.97
  • ITW – $18.30
  • CAH – $22.31
  • LEG – $69.08
  • EMN – $32.68
  • GPC – $31.33
  • PPL – $28.13
  • CSCO – $17.48
  • STOR – $60.06
  • ONL – $1.80
  • BEN – 34.80

July 2022 Dividend Income Total: $835.83

Awesome! That is the most dividends I ever received for a quarter starting month!

This month shows a 14.3% year over year increase from July 2021. In addition, I received my first dividend payment from BEN.

So, a new record, a new dividend payer, and a new milestone achieved. The only way this month could end better is with dividend increases!

Dividend Raises

I am super happy with this month’s results. And it gets better! Without further ado, here are July 2022’s dividend increases!

    • DUK increased dividend to $1.005 per share, resulting in a $2.72 increase.
    • WBA increased dividend to $0.48 per share, resulting in a $0.85 increase.
    • NNN increased dividend to $0.55 per share, resulting in a $5.84 increase.
    • SJM increased dividend to $1.02 per share, resulting in a $3.36 increase.
    • WFC increased dividend to $0.30, per share, resulting in a $19.80 increase.
    • ARCC increased dividend to $0.43 per share, resulting in a $38.08 increase.

All in all, dividend increases for July 2022 totaled: $70.65

That dividend increase from ARCC was the one that pushed me over the $13K mark. WFC also helped nicely. Overall, a great month for dividend increases!

Conclusion

Thus, we conclude my July 2022 dividend income plus achieving the $13K mark in forward dividends.

While $13K is awesome, it is still a minor milestone one the way to the major milestone which is $15K.

The reason $15K is a major milestone is that at my currently monthly spending levels, $15K a year would mean dividends would cover all my monthly expenses.

That is financial independence and that is a spectacular achievement!

As of this post, my portfolio is set to generate $13,015 in dividend income over the next 12 months.

So, stay tuned for more as I continue work towards my goals and build my dividend dynasty!
