March 2021 Dividend Income

Spring is here and it is time for me to post my March 2021 dividend income! March has been quite productive month for me. I made a stock transaction earlier this month; selling PBCT and buying additional shares of VZ. Next another great milestone was crossed as the value of my portfolio surpassed $250,000 for the first time! Thus, the quarter million mark has been reached! And last but not least, my cash reserves are full and I am ready to make some new stock purchases. But without further ado, for March 2021, I received $1,372.12 in dividend income from twenty-five (25) companies!

  • Pfizer (PFE) – $67.08
  • Southern Company (SO) – $129.92
  • International Business Machine (IBM) – $157.28
  • Target Corporation (TGT) – $47.60
  • VF Corporation (VFC) – $32.83

March 2021 Dividend Income Total: $1,372.12

March was a record-breaking month. This is the largest sum of dividends I ever received from the largest number of companies. Moreover, this year shows a 11.1% year over year increase from March 2020. In addition, I received my first dividend payment from INTC this past month. Hard to believe, but last year at this time, the entire city was pretty much shut down. Now we are in the process of reopening everything. Consequently, Covid-19 cases have increased, but appear to be more manageable compared to last year.  But now on to dividend increases!

  • O increased dividend to $0.235 per share resulting in a $1.13 increase.
  • GD increased dividend to $1.19 per share resulting in a $5.04 increase.

All in all, this month’s dividend increases totaled $6.17.

A small amount, however, I will take it! Thus, this concludes my March 2021 dividend income. My portfolio is now set to generate $11,178 in dividend income over the next 12 months. Looking forward to making some new stock purchases really soon. So, how did you do this past month? Also, are you happy Spring is finally here? Let me know in the comments below!
