November 2018 Dividend Income

And just like that, November is finished and the last month of 2018 is here. That is all that is left. An entire year has just about come and gone. All in the blink of an eye. Can you believe that? Good news is that the dividends keep coming and the snowball keeps growing! Coming off my “off” month always feels great. It was mainly an uneventful month, aside from reviewing my financials and a nice Thanksgiving holiday. But without further ado, here is my dividend income. This month I received $891.76 in dividend income from six (6) companies.

AT&T (T) – $169.00

Sprague Resources (SRLP) – $383.81

Omega Healthcare Investors (OHI) – $229.68

Procter & Gamble Company (PG) – $17.93

Realty Income Corp (O) – $41.45

General Mills (GIS) – $49.98

November 2018 Dividend Income Total: $891.85

And we have new record for a mid-quarter month! Really, the record was a difference of 9 cents from last quarter. That is pretty funny. But it is a new record and I am happy about that. This month shows a 19.3% YOY increase compared with November 2017! I did not receive a dividend from ABBV this month because I bought on the ex-dividend date. On the positive side, I will receive dividend payments from ABBV starting next year which will include their recent dividend increase. Nice way to start the first quarter of a new year.

While we are on the subject, it is time for dividend increases (and decreases)! I will start with the decrease. GSK has decreased its dividend slightly to $0.4858 per share. This lowered my forward annual dividend income from GSK from $238.12 to $233.18 for a decrease of $4.94. Could be a lot worse. There is nothing shocking here as GSK’s dividend is always different each quarter. As for the increases, ABBV raised their dividend to $1.07 per share. This raise my forward annual dividend income from ABBV from $80.64 to $89.88 for a $9.24 dividend increase.

All in all, there was one decrease plus one increase resulting in a net gain $4.30 in dividend income. So, I ended up in the green and I won’t complain about that. I will continue to build my dividend dynasty! My portfolio now stands to generate $9,286 in dividend income over the next 12 months.  I am inching towards the $10K mark little by little. Next year should be quite exciting! So, how about the rest of you guys? How did you do this month? Break any records? Let me know in the comments below!
