Starting February off with my recent stock buys and sells.
It is actually quite rare for me to sell a stock, but it does happen.
There are times when selling a stock is beneficial for a portfolio. Like pruning a tree to make it healthier.
The stock I sold is LyondellBasell Industries (LYB).
I have owned LYB since 2019 and have received $1,533.30 in dividends from this company since owning them.
I have now sold all 50 shares off LYB this past week.
This reduced my yearly dividend income by $274.00. Ouch.
However, I used the proceeds to buy some new stock and build up a position I already had.
Let’s get into it!
Recent Stock Buys

This time I added on to a stock I already own and added a new stock to my portfolio.
My recent stock purchases listed below:
- 95 Shares of PFE adding $163.40 in dividend income.
- 28 Shares of EOG adding $114.24 in dividend income.
All in all, dividends gained from these stock buys totaled: $277.64
Overall, I lost $274.00 with the LYB sell, however, I gain $277.64 with these new buys! Still in the green!
EOG was a new stock added to my portfolio.
In terms of my 2026 goals, I hold the rank of Knight by crossing $17,250 in projected annual dividends!
Conclusion

And that concludes my recent stock buys and sells.
My portfolio is now projected to produce $17,397.84 in dividend income over the next year.
Moving right along to financial freedom; brick by brick, dollar by dollar!
So, what do you think of my recent stock buys? Do you own LYB or have you sold?
