March 2022 Dividend Income and a New Bed

And just like that, it is time to post my March 2022 Dividend Income (plus that I got a new bed)! Aside from two thugs trying to rob me earlier this month, this was a pretty quiet month. I like quiet months. Especially when those months are quarter end months and record-breaking dividend income comes in. Other than that, I bought a new bed this month. I got a brand-new mattress and bed frame. It was definitely an upgrade from my old bed and frame (which itself was broken).

My new bed frame is far more aesthetically pleasing then my old one. Putting it together was quite easy and fun. Next was my mattress. I got a memory foam mattress that is very soft and comfortable. Overall, I consider this a good investment (especially for my back).  Next will be to get some new pillows, but that will come in time. Anyway, here are some pictures:

I’d say it’s fit for a king! The only problem with the new bed is getting up in the morning. If I didn’t want to get up for work before, now that I have a super comfortable bed, I really don’t want to get up now. I guess that’s the way it goes. In addition, my sleep has improved greatly! Therefore, I am very happy. But now, without further ado, for March 2022, I received $1,660.82 in dividend income from twenty-nine (29) companies!

  • PFE – $68.80

March 2022 Dividend Income Total: $1,660.82

That is a record amount of dividend income! The most I ever received for a single month. This month shows a year over year growth of 21% when compared with March 2021. I love solid double-digit growth! Quarter ending months are my favorite with all those great dividend payers. But without further ado, now on to dividend increases (and the big decrease).

      • GD increased dividend to $1.26 per share, resulting in a $3.92 increase.
      • O increased dividend to $0.247 per share, resulting in a $1.13 increase.
      • ONL declared a dividend of $0.10 per share, resulting in $7.20 additional income.
      • T decreased dividend to $0.2775 per share, resulting in a $449.11 decrease.

All in all, dividend increases for March 2022 totaled: $12.25

Well, the big T cut us finally here. We knew it was coming since last year. Overall, when you add my dividend increases by my dividend decreases, I end up with a net loss of $436.86. I lost a decent chunk of dividend income; however, I am not too panicked by this. I had a year to prepare and have a plan set in motion. I believe I will be able to more than make up for the loss by May.

Thus concludes my March 2022 dividend income! I am fully loaded and set to make some new stock purchases. Stay tuned for that. As of this post, my portfolio is set to generate $12,067 in dividend income over the next 12 months. Yes, that T cut was really deep. Nevertheless, the snowball will continue to grow. I will continue work towards my goals and build my dividend dynasty!

So, how was your month? Did you break any records? Also, did you suffer the T cut as well? Any plans forward from there? Let me know in the comments below!
